•Lead all technical staff during QStar II including developing direction and plan for BD team as it sought to expand the assets of the company, evaluating the risk and economic value of potential acquisitions, integrating engineering with geology for a comprehensive subsurface understanding of all potential acquisitions, formulating and overseeing development of materials submitted to BoD•Managed and participated in engineering staff responsible for designing completions and facilities in the Permian Basin, evaluation of acquisitions & eventual sale, and integrating all subsurface disciplines to form a comprehensive reservoir understanding.•Designed and implemented stimulation program in the Wolfcamp and Spraberry formations, that doubled the reserves of the nearest offsets, utilizing large amounts of offset operator data, fracture modeling and working with industry experts including designing and implementing science and technology program with microseismic/tiltmeters, fluid/proppant tracing, external reservoir pressure gauges and fiber optics to confirm completion efficiency and determine ultimate well spacing•Participated in subsurface multi-disciplinary team that came together to extend the edge of the Midland Basin resulting in phenomenal value creation for the team and its investors with a sale to SM for 1.6 billion dollars

Responsible for all aspects of operations, production, completions and asset planning for the East Texas District including a multi rig horizontal drilling program, 1,000 wells, 170 MMCFD ,and 1,800 BOPD.
