Summer co-op internship. I worked on staff reports for real estate sales for Planning Commission. I assisted with the production of neighborhood plans in Kennedy Heights, Mt. Auburn, and Clifton including community outreach and engagement as well as refining goals and strategies. I also worked on and assisted with projects relating to minor encroachments into public Right of Ways and Accessory Dwelling Unit regulations in other municipalities.

I meet with private landowners to inspect and assess their woodlands. I then made recommendations in regards to the management of their forests. If they had timber we could utilize we negotiated the contractual terms of purchase for their standing timber in a selective harvest. My job also involved the tree selection and marking of timber for harvests and the future health of the woods as well as laying out property lines and coordinating the harvest. I am also involved in Pike's continued marketing efforts as we attempt to increase our rates of connections with private landowners as well as auditing our other foresters data upkeep.

I was responsible for finding and collecting a variety of data points for the Continuous Forest Inventory at set plots throughout state forests in Jackson-Washington, Clark, and Ferdinand State Forests. Information collected included tree species, diameter, health, height, merchantable height, and regeneration as well as checking for invasive species. I worked independently and was required to effectively manage my time in order to inspect the plots assigned to me. I met with my manager once a month to pass on the collected information as well as have a plot audited
