About Cody Stephens
In 2011 I drove to Texas in a 1996 Jeep Cherokee (without AC) to work for my two college friends who owned a couple NutriShops. I was fortunate enough to work for them in every role from Sales Associate to District Manager. Once they started the Total Nutrition Franchise, I was able to open my own store in Tyler, Texas. After opening a few more locations, they called me and told me it was time to really do this our way, and we created 5 Star Nutrition. We merged all of our locations and quickly scaled to 80 locations over a couple short years. It was the Wild West. We made a lot of mistakes, and knew this method would not get us where we wanted to go, so we went through the painful process of closing under performers, adding processes and key infrastructure. Today (2021), at 54 strong stores across the South East, we are now ready to scale and double our stores by 2024.2023 Edit: Decided to start something new, and transitioned out of my day to day involvement in 5 Star Nutrition (still an owner) to start Nomic Energy with my brother. Time to take over solar and whole home backup generators in central Texas!
