Conducted research for my PhD thesis, where I investigated perovskite materials as a component in solar cells. I ran computer simulations of these materials to see how different chemical compositions affect the properties relevant for solar cell function. I wrote numerous scripts in Bash and Python (with NumPy and Pandas) for generating and analyzing data, as well as plotting using Matplotlib.

Conducted research for my MSc thesis, where I developed a user-friendly protocol to calculate redox potentials of small molecules with explicit water solvation. We found efficient/effective approaches to account for system-size effects in solvation. This was written in TCL at around 4000 lines of code. I gained experience in classical periodic and QM/MM molecular dynamics, ab initio quantum chemical and DFT calculations, and wrote many scripts in Python and Bash for data analysis and management.

Worked in a research laboratory under Dr. Eugene Mueller, investigating the nature of a cysteine double bond in a tRNA-modifying enzyme (intramolecular vs. intermolecular). Gained experience in plasmid isolation and transformation, chemical treatments in biochemistry labs, SDS-PAGE use and analysis.
