Structural Eit
Current Various Kiewit Power Delivery Solar Projects- Design W-posts supporting solar panel arrays, various peripheral equipment and inverter structures. Develop and review post specs and ensure they are compatible with client requirements. Design a HSS frame to support CAB that had exceeded the expected sag requirement. Review corrosion reports created by an in-house SME and use the MRI and corrosion data to evaluate the capacity of the posts towards the end of their design life when the galvanization layer has been worn away and corrosion has set in. Eagle LNG FEED- Referenced the M.E.L. to calc preliminary foundation sizes and help determine potential equipment locations. Freeport Train 4 Pre-Investment- Organized mass as-built file dumps for the pre-existing trains that were provided by the client. Re-design the main pipe rack according to in house design standards to compare to the 3rd party provided calcs. Freeport Restoration- Took an existing STAAD file from an as-built pipe rack that had to have some of its vertical bracing removed to extract a large bore pipe. This pipe was used to repair explosively ruptured material and get the plant up and running sooner than the back ordered material’s arrival. Vineland LNG Pre-FEED- Provide rough foundation dimensions for designers to start populating the model. Guadalajara LNG Pre-FEED- Located the most critical pipe racks based on preliminary informationprovided by Piping and did preliminary designs in STAAD to get member sizing for the Estimating team. Enviva Pellets Epes- Design mat foundations and drilled shaft piles for large conveyor belt equipment. Design a staircase to determine how many supports were required to satisfy deflection and stiffness requirements. Cheniere Energy Inc Sabine Pass Pre-FEED- Identify the critical as-built pipe racks to determine whichones will need to be focused on for adding a 2” to 3” CO2 line for a carbon capture upgrade.
