I am currently one of the planning editors for Spectrum News 1 Ohio, working out of Cleveland. Prior to working with reporters, producers and other editors in the television world, I was a print news reporter in various aspects #supportlocalnewspapers.As a journalist for the past eight years, I have written stories ranging from small-town festivals to the influence of the United States military on the local food culture in Okinawa, Japan. I also had the opportunity to practice journalism in Kampala, Uganda, reporting on HIV/AIDS while interning for the Daily Monitor.Recently, after moving with my wife to Ohio, I have shifted my role. Now, instead of writing for a newspaper I occupy a variety of roles on the planning team ranging from assisting with long-term planning, to helping reporters find story ideas and contacts, to creating schedules and editing digital stories.
