• Analytical and computational studies of high performance military fans, in accordance with Air Movement and Control Association standards (AMCA) for processing of test data and meeting design criteria.• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using ANSYS Fluent and CFX, Turbogrid, with results within 5 percent of in-house experimental data acquired using AMCA standards.• Shock Response Spectrum analysis for military specified gun shock requirements.• Programming of custom gerotor pump simulation using MATLAB, including GUI.• Vehicle dynamics programming for multi-axle experimental vehicle.

• Collaborative design of custom airfoil test specimen, rapid prototyped by Northrop Grumman.• Design and assembly of mechanical, optical, and seeding configurations for particle image velocimetry (PIV) research in Caltech’s NOAH water tunnel.• Data acquisition, post-processing, analysis, and presentation.• Lead author in Control of Laminar Separation on an Idealized Airfoil using Periodic Dynamic Roughness Actuation. Poster in Gallery of Fluid Motion Exhibit at the American Physical Society, 63rd meeting.• Successful results merited further study. Postdoctoral researchers have since concurred with findings and are expanding scope of research.

• Design and assembly of mechanical, optical, and seeding apparatus for particle image velocimetry (PIV) research in Caltech’s Merrill wind tunnel.• PIV system troubleshooting, using optical transducers and oscilloscope, resulting in bug report which was later confirmed by the PIV system manufacturer.• Wind tunnel seeding calibration, data acquisition and analysis.• Coauthor of APS conference talk (Abstract: HA.00008) Perturbation of a Turbulent Boundary Layer by Spatially Impulsive Dynamic Roughness.
