I have a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in psychology from Brigham Young University Hawaii. I am currently working on my 2nd bachelor's degree in software development through Brigham Young University Idaho. I have learned C3, Python, CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript so far. I have enjoyed learning these languages and gaining a better understanding of how computers work. I have 2.5 years experience in IT work. While earning my biology degree I worked as a computer systems consultant. I was involved in maintaining all of the computer lab computers on campus. This involved updating the software of the programs used on campus, and renewing their licenses. We used Deep Freeze to maintain computer images. I was in charge of the printer server for the campus. This involved renewing the printing software license, resetting student printing funds each semester, and ensuring functionality was maintained throughout the year. I eventually became supervisor for the 8 other systems consultants on campus. In this role I was responsible for assigning tasks, training, and hiring, as well as continuing to perform my other duties as a systems consultant. After graduating college, I joined the Utah National Guard. I took a job as a mechanic upon completion of basic training due to my unit being scheduled to deploy soon after, and I desired work experience before the deployment. I have now returned from my deployment to Afghanistan and look forward to continuing pursuit of a career related to my education.I am eager to get to know of other people with similar interests and build new relationships.Feel free to reach out or send me a message.
