• Handle sales calls from customers, including but not limited to placing orders, processing inquiries, resolving complaints and other special situations.
• Provide direct support to Regional Sales Managers
• Close sales by following up on quotes.
• Determine which factories are best suited to quote on specific inquiries and communicate them throughout the inquiry process.

Cincinnati, Ohio Area

• Outside sales responsibilities for 115 year old hot-dip galvanizing operation serving OEM, metal distribution, construction and metal fabrication customers.
• Duties include making cold calls and regular sales calls to potential and established customers in a multi-state region including Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois; while representing three separate operations.
• Customer contacts include calling on owners, purchasing contacts, engineers, specifiers, estimators, architects and shop personnel.
• Prepare and implement a regional sales plan which included maintaining current customers and identifying new markets and potential customers.
• Consult with and educate customers on the hot-dip galvanizing process with regards to proper design requirements both before and after the processing of material.
• Attend various trade shows and continuing education seminars related to the industry

• Responsible for international purchasing of hardware products used in production of cargo control products utilized in the trucking industry.
• Issue purchase orders, follow up, expedite and resolve any discrepancies.
• Work with brokers and freight forwarders to ensure shipments are cleared in a timely fashion.
• Seek out and qualify products from existing and potential vendors in order to help ensure company’s competitiveness through ongoing quality and low cost review.
• Work with engineering, quality control, manufacturing and sales to ensure the company stays on top of product issues related to safety, quality and workability.

• Target markets include high-tech customers in the telecommunications, satellite, alarm, wireless communications, internet, personal communications and data communications fields to name a few.

• Direct and assist efforts of domestic and international manufacturer’s representatives and distributors.

• Responsible for OEM, distributor and end user sales coupled with sales growth goals while attaining in-depth knowledge of products sold.
• Travel to customer locations to provide technical assistance through hands-on training and seminars.
• Assist in new product development, including seeking new opportunities for quality improvement.
• Recommend specific tooling & set-up procedures to customers.
