Managed the Salonga Landscape for all WWF-DRC projects and partnerships, a vital carbon storage site key to managing global climate change. Oversaw the USAID CAFEC project ($1m USD/year) for the WWF-DRC on development and conservation in the heart of the Congo basin. Activities included: participatory community development plans, community training on alternative livelihoods, oversight of REDD/REDD+ carbon accounting schemes, land tenure analysis, and community outreach on environmental and development issues.Directly managed two project managers, four projects, and 15 support staff. Indirectly managed park staff via Head Park Ranger.Collaborated on fundraising efforts, including writing, designing, and budgeting for project proposals. Contributed to a winning $15.085m USAID proposal. Served as liaison between WWF and USAID for Salonga Projects and to aid fundraising.Participated in national level policy planning and coordination meetings (CoCoCongo) with the Ministry of the Environment and the Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN).

Managed a remote independent reserve within the Quirimbas National Park. Coordination and management of a team of eight reserve rangers (work done in Portuguese).Coordinated a team of 8 reserve rangers; anti-poaching and anti-logging project management; logistical support for eco-tourism/researcher lodge; vehicle management with minor maintenance; and, community liaison, all in a remote private eco-reserve within the Quirimbas National Park.
