Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Cody Sims is a true Bay Area native with a deep-rooted passion for the intersection of technology and storytelling. As the current Marketing Director for the esteemed Anthony Riggins Team at Sotheby’s International Realty, Cody brings a unique blend of expertise and local knowledge to the table. Cody’s academic journey took her across the country to Fordham University in New York, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. This foundation in storytelling led her to a pivotal role at CNN’s Headline News, where she played an integral role in the channel’s transformative rebranding to “HLN”.Always at the forefront of digital innovation, Cody was selected as a Beta tester for the University of California’s pioneering digital marketing program, further solidifying her position as a thought leader in the digital marketing space. Before joining Sotheby’s, Cody honed her skills working on some of the top real estate teams in New York City and throughout the Bay Area, where she specialized in marketing, preparing listings for the market, and streamlining operations. Her commitment to excellence and client service is evident in every project she undertakes.Outside of her professional endeavors, Cody is an avid explorer of the Bay Area’s scenic trails, often found hiking and soaking in the natural beauty of her hometown. She’s also a basketball enthusiast, always up for a competitive pickup game, and has a penchant for travel, constantly seeking new experiences and cultures to immerse herself in. In all she undertakes, whether professional or personal, Cody Sims embodies a commitment to excellence, innovation, and genuine connection.

Cody Sims is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients, both figuratively and literally. With a real estate career that began on the East Coast, Cody eventually moved back to her native Bay Area, where she is thrilled to continue her passion of assisting first-time buyers, developers, and investors. Although Cody had developed an interest in real estate at a relatively young age by watching her mother succeed as a California agent, her first professional venture was in media. At CNN, she developed a skill set that would serve her well in her current profession: expert marketing, thinking under pressure, and thriving in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. When Cody decided to launch her real estate career, she didn’t miss a beat by joining a New York City firm that embraced the kind of cutting-edge, client-based technology that seemed tailor-made for her. In addition to her media-savvy background, Cody also credits her athletic skills for her ability to help her clients deal with the ever-changing real estate market. She played Division I basketball when she was a Communications major at Fordham University, and the sport taught her about grit, teamwork, and how to hone one’s craft. She also regards honesty, communication, and integrity as the hallmarks for how she approaches both her professional and personal life. When it comes to other interests, Cody enjoys self-education, hiking, and globe-trotting, which has included trips to Argentina, Switzerland, England, Israel, Spain, and Italy. Back home, she mentors underprivileged girls and volunteers at public schools. She would also love to teach kids more practical skills to help them succeed in life — something Cody seems to have a very good grasp of.
