About Cody Sargent

I'm a tech developer that focuses on Research and Development. I have experience with many different languages and systems. My most current work is in Java, C#, and Solidity but I'd call Python my native language. I've designed architectures and APIs for games, tools, engines, and web services. I like to teach art and technology whenever I get the chance. My long term goal is to develop a school with a research lab for art and technology.

    Z2 had several successful games with various tools sets spread across the company. I unified the art tools pipeline and developed new workflows to help support the artists. My background in working in live code helped me build a smooth transition for the various teams onto the new unified path. I'm still a python tool developer for 3D and 2D applications, but Z2 has helped me build the experience needed to work in mobile and within the Apple environment. Perforce, Python, Maya, Photoshop, OSX, iOS, Happy Hours, and adventure; it's been an amazing ride! I work on the core technology team, but I still get to work closely with the game teams. I enjoy helping artists. It's amazing to see what they can make with the tools I provide and it's awesome to have a close feedback loop to help me develop better and more intuitive tools.
