I was responsible for leading the design strategy and execution for all customer-facing mobile products. I leveraged my expertise in user-centered design principles and data-driven insights to deliver seamless experiences that exceeded customer expectations.My accomplishments included owning the end-to-end design process for our product, which included features such as real-time truck tracking, order management, and data visualization. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data analysts, to ensure our designs were not only visually compelling but also met business goals and user needs.

I led the design process of consumer-facing experiences for multiple products on the Shopper Experience team. I designed innovative solutions to improve existing products and developed new products that catered to user needs. My focus was always on delivering exceptional user experiences. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of projects from ideation to launch. My contributions were instrumental in driving business growth and increasing customer satisfaction.

During my time at Cambia, I was assigned to the iOS team and given the responsibility of redesigning multiple features and pages within the customer-facing iOS app. As I began working on the project, I noticed inconsistencies in the components, prompting me to perform an audit of the existing design system. My findings led me to be tasked with restructuring the design system, which was a comprehensive, multi-brand, and multi-platform system. Through this project, I was able to contribute to the development of a more cohesive and consistent design system, which allowed for greater efficiency and consistency in the design process. This experience also helped me further develop my skills in UX design, design systems, and project management, while also providing me with valuable experience working in a team environment.

I was tasked with redesigning the client management software as the only designer within my pod. To ensure that the redesign met the needs of both clients and internal users, I collaborated with other designers within the organization, soliciting feedback and brainstorming ideas to create a more user-friendly experience. Our objective was to align the UI with the existing design system, while also incorporating new design elements to enhance the user experience.

I led a team of 4 designers. We brought the product from concept to launch. The product was cross-platform (iOS, Web), Figma was our primary tool, and I built and maintained the global design system for web and iOS components. Ureeka is a platform built to give you impactful mentorship, a community of peers, mentors & coaches and access to expertise.

During my time at Overstock, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the Finance team, Conversational UX, CRM, and an experimental product. While I gained valuable experience across all these projects, I spent the majority of my time on the B2B team. As a member of this team, I played a key role in user research, developing user stories, designing systems, and mapping customer journeys. This experience allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the B2B landscape and the unique challenges it presents, as well as further honing my design and research skills. Overall, my time at Overstock was a rich and rewarding experience that allowed me to expand my knowledge and expertise in product design.

I had the opportunity to design the web experience for the 2018 Blacks in Technology national conference. The objective was to design a one stop shop for users to purchase tickets, book hotels, get directions to venues, view speaker line ups and schedules and learn about the Blacks in Tech organization.

In my role as the lead UX designer, I collaborated closely with the product and engineering team leads to ensure the timely delivery of design assets for various projects. Among the projects I worked on were the redesign of all the internal software for our largest client, a virtual cloud-based phone system app, and a vacation itinerary/financial planning web application. By leading the design process and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, I was able to deliver high-quality design solutions that met both business and user needs. Through these experiences, I gained valuable insights into various industries and further developed my skills in project management, design thinking, and user-centered design.

My project involved designing a customer-facing website with the objective of creating a visually appealing and organized platform for both existing and potential customers. The site needed to provide existing customers with the ability to make purchases, manage their inventory, and access information about the business, while also engaging and informing new customers about the brand. By utilizing user-centered design principles and working closely with the client, I was able to create a website that met all these objectives. The end result was a platform that provided an intuitive and user-friendly experience, with a modern and visually pleasing design that aligned with the brand's aesthetic. This project allowed me to further hone my skills in UX design, stakeholder management, and visual design, and provided me with valuable experience in designing for both existing and new customers.

As part of an on-campus internship for BYU's business school, I took on the role of team leader, responsible for leading a group of interns in creating a marketing and launch strategy for a social app. To ensure that the project was a success, I assigned each intern a specialized role on the team, tailored to their strengths and interests. These roles included data analytics, product launch, event marketing, social media marketing, user research, and market research. By clearly defining each intern's responsibilities, I was able to facilitate effective collaboration and ensure that each team member had a clear understanding of their contributions to the project. Through this experience, I developed my leadership and mentorship skills, as well as gaining valuable insights into the importance of assigning specialized roles and responsibilities to team members in achieving project objectives.
