I enlisted in the Army at 18. I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted to do. After 6+ years in the Army, I gained a family through the Veteran community. A group of highly disciplined, motivated & eager individuals that taught me to do the same. Leveraging my time as an Air Traffic Controller, I learned how to clearly communicate in a highly stressful role where, managing many moving parts (or aircraft) was instrumental for the safety of our pilots and crew. For the last eight years I have parlayed my ATC experience to Cisco, supporting some of our largest enterprise customers. Some could say I went from controlling planes to selling control planes… Nonetheless, I love to be a broker of solutions, building genuine relationships and solving problems where I see them. In 2018, a peer of mine and I felt Cisco had an opportunity to create a pipeline for Veterans transitioning out of the military and into the civilian world. It was a grass roots effort that has grown to be Cisco's most mature veteran program and primary source of transitioning talent. I welcome the invitation to connect!
