My StoryEvery new year, my dad would make me write down my goals and aspirations. He would type them out and frame the list, so that I could see them every day. To be honest, I never understood this practice until recently. I had the opportunity to reflect on what made me the most successful during my high school career. Waking up every morning and critically thinking about how I can advance to my yearly goals centered my productivity towards making progress. When I started with this practice when I was a kid, my goals were to make straight A’s, make new friends, or improve my batting average over the previous season. Now, however, my aspirations are more long-term. I aspire to graduate from the University of Alabama with honors. I want to get my MAcc through the Manderson Graduate Program. I want to gain connections through the wide range of opportunities that Culverhouse offers.To achieve my goals, I plan on pursuing a degree in business administration with a focus on Accounting and finance. I believe that a solid understanding of Accounting and financial principles and practices is crucial for any business leader. In addition to my formal education, I am also committed to gaining practical experience through internships and other hands-on opportunities. I believe that real-world experience will be invaluable to me in learning about the business world and developing the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.Ultimately, my academic aspirations in business are driven by my desire to make a positive impact in the world. I believe that businesses have the power to create change and improve people's lives, and I am eager to be a part of that process. I am confident that by getting a strong education, practical experience, and improving along the way, I will be able to achieve my goals and make a meaningful contribution to the business world.
