In my role as Testing & Track Support Manager I am responsible for managing, sizing, training and growing the track support engineering team according to the business plans.My duties include closely working with R&D before, during and after a tyre development test, to lead the outdoor testing activities in order to execute the product development roadmap. While at the track I act as the main contact point for vehicle/tyre technical matter for our customers and partners. It is also my responsibility to ensure all data from a race or testing event is accurately captured and exchanged with R&D teams in order to be a valid and reliable input to next tyre generation.

At Goodyear I have had the opportunity to take my previous knowledge of tyre technology and apply it in my greatest passion - Motorsports. As a track support engineer my job is to work closely with the race teams to optimise the way our tyres are used, ensuring optimal performance and durability. In high level motorsports this means becoming a member of the team and having access to data, performing data analysis and having an input in both setup and strategy. I am also the first point of contact for racing teams for any matter not immediately related to track support.It is also within my duties to collect teams' feedback on our products and set our internal requirements for tyre development activities. I am also responsible for planning and running of development tests, sourcing suitable tracks, planning with teams, and ensuring the validity and added value of the outcome.For the 2016 season I was assigned to work with the G-Drive racing team (Jota) in both their WEC and ELMS programmes. In WEC we achieved 3rd place in LMP2, with a 2nd place finish at Le Mans and class wins in Fuji, Shanghai and Bahrain. In ELMS we secured the championship win with one final victory for the Gibson chassis in Estoril. In 2017 I continued my work with G-Drive Racing / TDS in WEC and took on United Autosports in ELMS. Both teams enjoyed successes in their championships, with United Autosports fighting for the ELMS championship right up to final round in Portimao. As an extra event, I was assigned to work with Audi Team Land in for the 2017 Nurburgring 24H, where we were able to achieve overall victory due to our tyre strategy at the end of the race. In 2018 I built on the work done in previous seasons with G-Drive Racing / TDS in both their WEC and ELMS programmes, winning the European Le Mans Series.

My responsibilities include the use of vehicle dynamics expertise towards the development of custom tailored Ultra High Performance tires for OE customers Audi and Jaguar, from initial concept to product industrialization using in-house developed tools. Planning and accompanying vehicle testing and tire simulation activities and evaluation of results, including Flat-trac force and moment testing. Ensuring all legal, internal and customer requirements are met and necessary certification is achieved.Participation as a technical expert in marketing events for international press and customers. Member of the Competence Center for Vehicle Dynamics, an internal group responsible for the education of staff in vehicle dynamics topics and offering support in ongoing product approvals with OEM's. Successful target approvals with sportscars, including the company's first OE approval of its semi-slick tire (ContiForceContact) in the Jaguar F-Type, as well as development activities with Audi R8 and Porsche Panamera G2.
