About Coen De Jong

Graduated Communication & Multimedia Design creative professional working as experience designer, web developer and problem solver. Passionate about new technology, starting new ventures and making complicated things simple again.I finished in 2011 and was awarded the new but prestigious "Excellence" graduation status, part of the Sirius Programme for Excellence in Higher Education in The Netherlands.From 2009 on I work as a freelance web developer with varying languages and techniques including PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS/JS and Python.In more recent years I have started to focus on management, teaching and public speaking jobs in the communications industry.In 2015, when I moved to Tilburg, I ventured into education, where I could use my technical and communicational skills to bring both the IT world and the arts-y world of the Academy for Creative Industries together.After a 1,5 year sabbatical where we traveled Europe in our campervan, I went back to Fontys, this time stationed in Eindhoven, working on implementing software solutions and managing IT innovation projects. Apart from my profession I love (making) different kinds of music, am I a born traveler, spontaneous instead of a huge planner and take initiative quite often. I see life as something where you have the most influence; do what you love, wear your passion. Don't do something "just because you have to".
