This solution operated at SCADA levels 2, 3, and 4, enabling the control and (near) real-time monitoring of operations.- Integrated the solution with a centralized reporting system, facilitating operational reporting across all sort locations where the solution was deployed.- Implemented standardized controls for low-level equipment such as PLCs, RTUs, and camera tunnels, ensuring consistency across SCADA levels 1 and 2.- Supported FedEx's data-driven strategy by establishing a standardized interface to global and regional backend systems, facilitating seamless data consumption and enabling sort execution based on actual data.- Implemented a zero-trust security model based on Okta, enhancing security through infrastructure redesign, network segmentation, and uniform identity control (purpleID).RESULTS::Successfully rolled out the solution to over 500 locations across multiple continents.Established the solution as the international standard for FedEx's sort facilities, replacing legacy FedEx and TNT systems.The cross-sort program ensured the seamless integration of FedEx and TNT operations while driving efficiency, cost savings, and security enhancements across the global sort network.

Integral to this project was the comprehensive migration from the existing system.The information processed in the solution in included information that is classified as (highly) sensitive and therefore the solution needed to adhere to strict data security standards and latest EU regulations for data privacy (GDPR).

As part of the government's comprehensive strategy to combat fraud, the Ministry of Security and Justice undertook a program aimed at enhancing the prevention and detection of fraudulent activities involving legal entities.This initiative involved conducting a European tender to procure a sophisticated ICT system, along with its management, and transitioning from the existing to the new ICT supplier.Following a rigorous evaluation process, the outcome of the tender was the establishment of a framework agreement and subsequent agreements for the development, management, and maintenance of the ICT system.Upon successful transition to the new supplier, significant expansions were made to the existing ICT system. These enhancements bolstered its capabilities in detecting and reporting fraud involving legal entities through automated pattern recognition, leveraging data from various foundational administrative sources.

As the project manager, I was tasked with establishing and overseeing a management organization responsible for coordinating various suppliers under a results-based contract (DBM). Together, these suppliers were responsible for delivering a comprehensive solution to the Ministry of Security and Justice.Our primary objective was to develop, introduce, and manage a robust ICT system to support the implementation of the new Control of Legal Entities Act. This system needed to utilize automated pattern recognition based on multiple foundational datasets to detect fraud involving legal entities.The project involved the integration with systems from various organizations, including those of the Judicial Documentation Center, dienst Justis, the Chamber of Commerce, and the tax authorities, to combat fraud with legal entities effectively.Given the (very) sensitive nature of the data involved and the integration with highly confidential information applications, the solution had to adhere to stringent security requirements and has been tested and validated by multiple specialized authorities for (data) security.The project was successfully concluded with the deployment and implementation of the new system in 2012.

As senior project manager at MobiRail, my primary role entails overseeing the turnkey delivery and management of the GSM-Rail network for the dutch high-speed railway track, in collaboration with ProRail under the DBM contract. MobiRail, a consortium comprising Nokia Siemens Netherlands and KPN, serves as the leading supplier of GSM Rail networks in the Netherlands. I was tasked with the daily management of a diverse team comprised of professionals from Nokia Siemens, KPN, Siemens Netherlands, and various other suppliers. My responsibilities extend to contract management and fostering effective collaboration among all stakeholders involved. Furthermore, I play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing agreements between ProRail in the Netherlands and NMBS in Belgium, particularly regarding the utilization of GSM-R networks within the border region of the high-speed line HSL-Z. The successful completion of the project in 2010 marked a significant milestone, as it delivered the first commercial GSM-R network seamlessly integrated with the exceptionally high Quality of Service mandated for ETCS level 3 operations.
