I assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, and inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.​ I am responsible for reviewing body shop and service estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate, as well as providing a high level of service to internal and external customers.

I assessed damage vehicles and provided estimates for repair. The best part of my job was working with customers in a stressful situations, such as after an accident, and giving them their vehicle back in like new condition. I used my knowledge, repair manuals, hand-tools, power-tools and experience in repairing all types of vehicles, including large trucks and cars, to remove dents, straighten bent bodies, and replacing crumpled parts that cannot be fixed.

In this position, I was responsible for managing 8 employees, marketing services and products, providing the highest level possible in customer satisfaction, balancing a store budget, and growing commercial sales.

I managed the computer networking system, operations, personnel, marketing and profitability of the department including inventory control, proper purchasing procedures, security, pricing, merchandising, and advertising for GMC, Honda, and Kia parts departments. I trained and mentored all counter personnel on dealership procedures, balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, and developed and executed an aggressive wholesale parts program to produce profit. I am proud that I maintained an at or above national average CSI score and followed up with all customer issues or concerns to insure client satisfaction.

I helped explain to customers repairs needed on vehicles and helped technicians diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, components, and fuel systems in gasoline fueled cars and trucks manually or by means of computerized diagnostic tools. The types of repairs I completed and trained other technicians were preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters, and I repaired vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. During this time I learned and taught others how to use chemicals and supplies according to OSHA standards and regulations and how to maintain a neat and clean working area.
