Abby Cohen is a partner in the metro Washington, DC office of Novogradac & Company LLP in the valuation consulting, market research and government services division. Ms. Cohen has extensive experience performing market feasibility studies, appraisals, and consulting services for a broad cross-section of clients in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit industry, including developers, lenders, syndicators and state agencies. Ms. Cohen has prepared numerous reasonableness opinions related to Revenue Procedure 2014-12. Transactions analyzed include projects involving the use of Historic Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits and Investment Tax Credits. Past speaking engagements Ms. Cohen has undertaken include reasonableness opinions, asset management and market analysis related issues. Ms. Cohen has completed real estate appraisal coursework through the Appraisal Institute and received her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. She is a designated member of the National Council of Housing Market Analysts. Ms. Cohen is licensed in Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas as a Certified General Appraiser.
