I tutor a variety of students in math and science from ages 15-18. I am continuing to learn how to effectively adapt to students learning styles and lead them into success in their respective courses.

During my 3rd and 4th year at NC State, I organized and presented professional development seminars of audiences of 10-80 students. These interactive presentations helped me demonstrated 8 career readiness competencies including critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving through collaboration with colleagues. I also served as an informal resource to the Career Development Center, students, faculty, and employers.

In June of 2020, I participated in a 7-week accelerated learning internship program during COVID-19. I conducted research on several products and ideas surrounding rigging control surfaces. To do so efficiently, I utilized Six Sigma tools such as the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and House of Quality (HoQ) to further understand and develop engineering concepts.

I collaborated with professional engineers in the design of various infrastructures in the mechanical buildings department of RMF Engineering. I have worked on the design and functionality of ductwork and piping of various hospitals, including Rex Healthcare of Holly Springs and the Bed Tower Addition of Duke Hospital. During my time at RMF Engineering, I was acquiring the experience of being a full-time engineer while working to become a professional engineer.

During my sophomore year of college, I assisted two first-year Goodnight Scholars to adapt to life at NC State. I was given the responsibility to organize one-on-one meetings and activities which helped me understand and communicate their difficulties with their first 6 weeks of college. My insight lead to the students reaching their goal of building stronger connections with different organizations.

I worked as a cashier for transactions between the customer and the company. I was promoted from crew member to crew trainer and learned the importance of teamwork and communication. I was responsible for crew members in the workplace.

During my sophomore, junior and senior year of high school I tutored 5 students in Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB. I was responsible for the students' improvement in their coursework and examinations. I learned leadership skills, promptness, and the ability to adapt to other student's learning styles.
