As the first CEO in the history of Global Peace 360°and the Global Peace Film Festival, David Wheeler brings over 40 years of experience as an entrepreneur and leader in communications and nonprofits. His distinguished career includes roles with global media outlets such as Tribune Publishing, Gannett, PBS, Viacom, CBS, and FOX. Locally, David has served as Chairman of the Downtown Arts District, Executive Director of the Miss Orlando Organization, and Director for the City of Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board. He is also the founder of Career-TV. David works closely with the leadership team, board chair, and community to develop and implement the strategic plan for the Organization’s growth, while honoring the Founder’s vision. His efforts focus on enhancing audience development, expanding programs, and leading digital marketing, virtual experiences, and educational outreach. He forges strategic partnerships with international film festivals, global non-profits, and local businesses, and creates travel and tourism opportunities to elevate the festival’s visibility and cultural impact.
