I defended my Ph.D. at the Université de la Méditerranée (Marseilles, France) in 2011, carried out under the supervision of Daniel Mestre at the Institut des Sciences du Mouvement. My thesis dealt with the visual control of steering with a sensori-motor modelling approach. This work relied on the measurement of human behavior in simulated driving situations. In particular, I studied drivers’ active perception by quantifying the couplings between eyes and head movements, in correlation with the geometry of the road and the optical flow generated by self movement. From November 2011 to February 2013, as post-doctoral fellow at the Laboratoire de Physiologie de la Perception et de l'Action (Collège de France, Paris) and under the supervision of Alain Berthoz and Jacques Droulez, I worked on the European project RoboSoM. The main scientific objective was to implement in an humanoid robot some motor control principles identified in Human biology.Between March 2013 and September 2016, as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut de la Vision (Paris, France) I was a frontline player in the team “Vision et Motricité, Cognition et Anatomie Fonctionnelle” lead by Pr. Avinoam Safran. The objective is to precisely identify the strategies and adaptation mechanisms, spontaneously developed by visually impaired patients (e.g. retinitis pigmentosa), from the cerebral (fMRI) to the behavior level (oculomotricity, visuo-motor coordination, locomotion). Finally, since 2016, I have been a project manager at Streetlab. Our work aims to design and validate behavioral tests to evaluate the therapeutic benefit of new vision treatments (gene therapies, retinal implants, etc.) for visually impaired patients.

Post-Doc Researcher - Control Of LocomotionInstitut De La Vision Mar 2013 - Sep 2016Paris Area, FranceVisual pathologies alter or even suppress visual information, causing at least a sizeable discomfort in daily life. Impaired individuals adapt their behavior and set up new strategies to compensate this loss. The objective of this post-doc is to precisely identify the strategies and adaptation mechanisms, spontaneously developed by visually impaired patients (e.g. retinitis pigmentosa), from the cerebral (fMRI) to the behavior level (oculomotricity, visuo-motor coordination, locomotion). -
