Screens veterans for claustrophobia, cardiac pacemakers, cochlear implants, cardiac prosthetic valves, and other ferrous implants, reviews each patients safety checklist, scans every patient for ferromagnetic materials using a hand -held metal detector prior to entering zone IV, positions and instructs veterans for scans, collaborates with Radiologists to determine status of patients who may be contraindicated and to obtain high-quality images, ensures proper coil selection and acquisition parameters, verifies accurate lab results within last 30 days with appropriate eGFR/ creatinine parameters, follows HIPAA guidelines, venipuncture, daily evaluation of equipment room in mobile unit including gradient amps, liquid cooling cabinet, and HVAC system, reports any issues to Field Engineer.
