Working as part of the Construction Management team with the resident engineer and head office engineers to coordinate the work with the contractor, materials testing laboratory, and permit agencies ensuring that the construction contractor’s work is in conformance with the contract documents. While on site must be proactive and alert the resident engineer to problems that may come up in the field and provide solutions to mitigate those problems. Responsibilities also include reviewing and validating progress payments, reviewing equitable adjustment claims and advising the construction managers and legal team on a suggested course of action, drafting field advice memo's, creating methods to track progress including using complex excel workbooks and integrating them with MS Project schedules in order to forecast future scheduling, documenting work progress via daily inspection reports and various other reports including tracking quantities and documenting force account work.

Created and organized a charity street hockey tournament which in its inaugural year had 16 teams and 100 participants, 30 volunteers and raised $4000 for the Canadian Cancer Society and in its second year had 22 teams, 150 participants, 40 volunteers and raised over $7000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Responsibilities include building and updating a website using iWeb, organizing an advertisement campaign in the local community including designing posters in Adobe Photoshop as well as building and managing a social media following on Facebook and Twitter, manage finances of the event, campaign for donations to local businesses, apply for necessary permitting including event grounds and parking, food and drink permitting, create volunteer and game schedules, in conjunction with a lawyer donating time write a waiver, and manage the event day of.
