Throughout college I gained essential experience in group management and event coordination through project work related to my courses as well as my leadership role in a college campus registered student organization. I learned how to effectively discuss ideas with a variety of groups and to effectively solve problems, from simply organizing meeting times for class projects to assisting in feedback and the creation of college campus spaces with other student organizations and campus faculty. During my work experience I learned effective communication skills and handy technical skills when it comes to asset management and equipment maintenance. I greatly enjoyed working with patrons of the places that I worked, which gave me valuable speaking skills to accommodate their requests and issues as quickly and effectively as possible.While classes could be a struggle at times, I found I worked best when given group projects that required several layers of coordination to do over a period of time. This gave me ample opportunities to coordinate meetings, work with others to set effective deadlines to create exemplary results.
