I managed two roofing construction sites for a summer roofing project. Two teams of college students lead groups of high school students who would rotate out each week. I oversaw the material procurement ,distribution, and coordination of the project.

I spent 3 months working as a Design Engineer, building structures that would allow for large cases of equipment to be installed on to the interior airframe of an aircraft. I spent 4 months as a Liaison engineer doing root cause analysis to trouble shoot manufacturing discrepancies. I would help resolve issues that would arise between Engineering Design and Manufacturing. We would carry out a root cause analysis to determine if an issue should be solved at the engineering design level, or a modification should be made to the engineering drawings, or assembly instructions to accomplish the desired installation.

I installed HVAC systems in commercial buildings. I furthered my knowledge in blueprint design and implementation. I learned about how contractors and subcontractors work with each other and deal with problems that arise during the design and construction process. I was able to learn how communication differs between the general contractors, engineers, subcontractors and laborers.

Created and proposed solutions for manufacturing issues during assembly. Compiled and organized Materials Lists into Excel for use by mechanics. Worked on the V-22 Osprey, UH-1Y (Huey), AH-1Z (Cobra), and the new 525 Relentless.

Instructed Boy Scouts on how to safely handle Shotguns and Rifles and helped them earn a shooting merit badge. Assisted with cooking, camp maintenance and administrative duties. Helped pilot the NRA pistol program.
