Following my graduation from Gettysburg College, I decided to change career paths to work with dogs. Upon completing a decoy seminar by Polaris K9, I enrolled to Tarheel K9 where I completed their 6 month Master Trainer course. While at Tarheel, I had the opportunity to help train police dogs from across the country in areas such as detection, patrol, and tracking. Following Tarheel, I was fortunate to secure a year-long internship with Stateline Canine in Hanover, PA, one of the country's leading dog training companies. While here at Stateline I work as both a pet dog trainer and kennel tech, but I do help train the occasional police or sport dog as well. I currently am training to compete in the dog sport discipline of PSA with my German Shepherd, Dasha, as well as train her in explosives detection and tracking.
