Collect payments for each managed install. Attend regular construction meetings and trainings. Participate in the recruitment and development of new subcontractors. Problem resolution to achieve client satisfaction goals and expectations. Maintain company vehicles and equipment in proper working. Lead and participate in team activities to foster a strong team culture where all individuals are working toward the same objectives.

Directly supervised and trained marines and ensured they received up to date certifications and trainings, resulting in one of the highest promotion rates in entire job field of my department. During my Marine Corps enlistment, I spent weekends and vacation time on construction projects in the Wilmington, NC area. By successfully completing my projects on time and by assisting other contractors, I insured that the owners opened three new restaurants on schedule. I often started work at 2:00 AM in order to complete the projects I was responsible for before the opening of business the next day. I also coordinated the hiring of all the contractors involved in the construction and maintenance of the restaurant chain.

I assisted construction sub-contractors on projects and facilitated on-time deliveries of all required construction materials. I also employed my language skills to coordinate the activities of subcontractors.

Angelo Ferrandino, a third generation Italian stone mason who had built his first home at the age of 16 hired me and taught me the basics of construction at the age of 19. Mixing concrete in a wheelbarrow with a shovel and hand chiseling rock to create beautiful works of art from stone was, at the time the hardest and most rewarding thing I’d ever done. I’ve built my career upon what he taught me and am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn first hand from such an amazing craftsman.
