- Aid the VP, Engineering in day-to-day management of a lab of 24 team members- Manage product development projects which are utilized to showcase technology developed at the Samsung Digital Media Systems (DMS) Audio Lab- Oversee the R&D Support team with 5 direct reports- Work to organize and maintain the lab, acquire resources, create budgets & project plans- Review all mechanical designs, provide oversight, and obtain resources for rapid prototyping- Ensure proper working order of the general lab including the 4Pi and 2Pi anechoic chambers and transducer measurement equipment- Act as an individual contributor to the transducer engineering team- Review patents for submission and work with legal team to examine strategic patents

- Lead transducer engineer for development of all transducers (woofers, tweeters, etc)- Led design effort for new tweeter utilized in sound-bars and other home audio devices- Worked to improve 2pi anechoic measurement chamber fixtures and measurement process resulting in better repeatability and precision for all transducer measurements- Used 3D CAD, finite element analysis, and lumped parameter modeling techniques to design, simulate, and analyze transducers- Aided in expansion of the facility to include an additional 10,000 sq ft including a state-of-the-art transducer measurement and engineering area, a rapid prototyping model shop, and a reference listening room.
