Outside of class, I am working with my professors at Florida Polytechnic University to work on research related to machine learning-based intrusion detection in vehicular networks. Under their guidance, I have served as the main author of a paper surveying intrusion detection techniques in Internet of Vehicles (IoV) networks, which are wireless networks that allow vehicles to communicate with one another as well as with external infrastructure. This paper is currently undergoing final revisions prior to submission into the Elsevier Internet of Things (IoT) journal. We are now beginning preparations for our next work, which will involve leveraging the Python machine learning library PyTorch to implement and compare intrusion detection methods. While conducting this research, I have gained an understanding of a variety of machine learning methods and computer networking concepts.

As a Presidential Ambassador, I am a student leader who represents Florida Polytechnic University by co-hosting various events and giving campus tours to donors and legislators. In this role, I seek to foster my interpersonal skills by working under the guidance of fellow Presidential Ambassadors, University staff, military leaders, and business executives.

As a driver for Uber Eats, I pick up and deliver food and other products to customers who order them through the Uber Eats application. I am responsible for managing the entire delivery process, including route planning, navigation, timely order fulfillment, and continuous communication with customers, resulting in consistent positive ratings. As of writing, I have completed over 850 orders with the service while maintaining a 100% customer satisfaction rating, demonstrating my reliability and commitment to quality service.

As a driver for Grubhub, I picked up and delivered food and drinks to customers who ordered them through the Grubhub application. I managed delivery logistics independently, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries resulting in consistent customer satisfaction. I was also responsible for providing customers with timely updates on their order status, ensuring an exceptional delivery experience.

As a driver for DoorDash, I picked up and delivered food and other products to customers who ordered them through the DoorDash application. Throughout my time delivering for DoorDash, I completed over 600 deliveries while maintaining a feedback rating at or above 4.9/5 stars, illustrating professionalism and dependability.

As a volunteer at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, I worked hand-in-hand with facility staff to complete various tasks such as cleaning animal kennels, refilling food and water bowls, and taking animals out for walks. As the facility staff grew to recognize me and my work ethic, I became trusted to work independently to identify and complete tasks that would contribute to daily operations. As I grew more familiar with the work, I often trained newer volunteers myself, ensuring that facility procedures were followed while we cared for the hundreds of animals at the facility. Finally, after the facility opened to the public each morning, I would often give potential animal adopters directions throughout the facility, and I would also assist in the animal adoption process by providing information and retrieving animals for them to interact with.
