As a graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and Finance, Colby Hollifield started his career in banking. In 2004, Colby started Silver Creek Advisors and has worked full time in real estate, in both development and land management, ever since. After leading projects in Utah, California and Arizona, Colby moved back to Charleston to take over as Managing Director of a land holding company. In addition to running the Middleton Place, LLC, Colby worked on hotel, resort and sporting club projects from Virginia to the Virgin Islands and even as far south as Cartagena, Colombia.While leading the Middleton Place, LLC, Colby pioneered several sustainable development strategies, including a first of its kind carbon offset project.
