Agriculture is my culture.My career in agriculture began once I realized my affinity for people, plants, and food. I enjoy working with all three. Over the years I have been connecting the dots between growing potatoes and a consumer product. I stay close to my scientific roots by keeping informed of novel potato research.Among government, academic, and industrial learning, the most valuable lesson I have learned is that there is always more to learn. In the spirit of continuous learning, I seek opportunities to explore the world beyond my work, such as by volunteering with a national agricultural council.When I am not reading about the world’s next crop of potatoes, I enjoy a multi-disciplinary approach to life. I appreciate music, fiction novels, and spending time with family.
