The Cold Chain Federation leads the UK temperature-controlled logistics industry. It's members look after frozen and chilled food from farm to fork. As Chief Executive, I led the organisation through strategic review and renewal. This resulted In a relaunch and rebrand from the Food Storage and Distribution Federation to the Cold Chain Federation. From relaunch in June 2019 to when I moved on in December 2023 – the organisation had doubled its membership and increased its revenue by 40%, despite forced cancelling of in-person events and other disruptions of the covid period. I also established a solid influential voice for the organisation, with a seat at the table in critical government forums related to supply chain planning Brexit and COVID-related issues and acted as a regular spokesperson in the national and trade media. I led a team of 12 communications professionals across public affairs, media relations and internal communications. Recruited to a new role I built the department, establishing an effective external affairs strategy. I oversaw key initiatives including the successful annual Rural Business Conference, the Summit series and a range of high profile influencing campaigns.I also acted as publisher of the 30,000 distribution Land and Business Magazine and oversaw an overhaul of wider member communications.
