Persons interviewed included the Interior Minister for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG); KRG Director of Foreign Affairs; senior KRG military officers and cabinet ministers; the governor of Sulaymaniyah Governorate, as well the chief justice and chief prosecutor for that Governorate, and important officials in the Security Directorate of the Governorate; participated in CSIS-sponsored round tables with senior government officials, NGOs, and others from the United States and abroad; provided interviews to BBC and Deutche Welle. -
