I am responsible for the design stormwater management facilities and conveyance systems for private subdivision and land development projects, then navigate the projects through the municipal review and approval process. I also perform flood studies on streams and large drainage channels. Another responsibility is to complete plans, reports and calculations to acquire NPDES permits, joint permits from the Army Corp of Engineers, environmental permits, highway occupancy permits, and sewage planning modules. I will also prepare construction cost estimates for the bonding of public improvements. Finally, I devise field changes for contractors, to address on unforeseen circumstances noticed during construction.

I was responsible for the horizontal layout and vertical design of local streets as well as the designed the storm and sanitary sewer systems for private subdivision and land development projects. Once those systems were designed, I would have to coordinated with the public utility providers to address any concerns and/or conflicts. Finally, I was responsible to prepare plans, calculations and application forms to acquire NPDES permits, highway occupancy permits, and sewage planning modules.
