Currently, I am working full-time as a supervisor in a customer service job and writing freelance journalism stories about local artists in the Twin Cities. Throughout my senior year at the University of Minnesota, I worked as the Arts and Entertainment editor for the Minnesota Daily. I focused on telling stories within the arts that are overlooked. Before that, I had three years of professional journalistic experience at Depaul University and the University of Minnesota. Over the past three years, I wrote 35 articles in the Minnesota Daily and The DePaulia.After creating the first Arts and Entertainment newsletter at The Minnesota Daily, titled "The Scene," I began looking into jobs that utilized my experience with writing concise digital content. In particular, I am interested in expanding my skills in writing for Public Relations and Marketing. I know my experience brainstorming, pitching ideas to editors, editing for AP style, writing newsletter releases and publishing stories will improve my performance in any position.
