In this 11-week internship, I was tasked with determining uses for machine learning in different functional areas of the company and demonstrating the capabilities of machine learning to upper leadership. This allowed me to explore areas such as big data analysis through Azure Data Lakes and SQL storage, as well as Databricks and Azure ML implementations. At the culmination of the 11 weeks, I had a fully functioning and deployed machine learning model helping guide business decisions in real-time. Overall, this exploration into practical data analysis and machine learning further cemented my passion for data science.

I worked on a variety of consulting and development projects throughout the summer including NextJS development and site maintenance using Drupal and Lando. My main project involved developing a NextJS and React prototype website from scratch, which taught me a lot of lessons about project lifecycles. On top of this, I learned valuable project management through the use of ClickUp to create and manage tickets and determine requirements for projects. Overall, as my first venture into the world of software development and consulting, I truly enjoyed the vast array of projects I got to experience and learn from.
