Profile bio

About Cole Kem

I am a retired Army Captain with a long history of guiding teams towards excellence. I see myself as a proven servant leader who enjoys working with companies and their craftsman to achieve organizational harmony. After completing my business degree at California State University Stanislaus, I launched my career in management and discovered my passion for people and work processes. I found that deep diving into work-flows and technical procedures, learning directly from the Subject Matter Experts was the keystone to being an effective leader. Remaining humble and showing interest in those I led always provided me with a unique opportunity to establish mutual trust and an understanding of daily operations. Subsequently, it provided me with an insight into an individual's leadership needs and inspirations. Over the years, I learned to employ a fluid style of management molded for each member of the team. I strongly value my role as the critical enabler; I strive to empower individuals, resource them and follow through in order to drive consistent results. I ask myself often, "What is it that I can do to elevate each person's talents while achieving company goals?" My passion for leadership and what excites me about the role lies in seeing others succeed. Compassion and patience aligned with continuous improvement principles is a winning recipe.Interested in learning more about my background, feel free to watch the videos I linked below to each of my past roles. I highly recommend watching General (ret.) Raymond Thomas Odierno’s video, former Army Chief of Staff. I titled it “Successful Commanders Live Mission Command”. It provides an outstanding snapshot of a systematic approach that I learned to embrace.Thank you for taking the time to learn about how I see myself. Stay positive and God speed.
