During my second summer at 3M Canada, I was part of several projects in the maintenance engineering department:- Part of a project team that redesigned the maintenance spare parts inventory process.- Proposed a replacement of a hydraulic system, performed the associated R&D work, and presented to management.- Lead the shutdown process of the aerosol gashouse, acquired permits and safety paperwork.- On several occasions, work required independence in coordinating multiple resources to meet project goals and completion timelines.

Working in facilities engineering allowed me to work on several projects:- Overhauled and update the 3D SolidWorks model of the steam powerhouse piping.- Updated and organized over a thousand AutoCAD plant layout drawings- Designed and organized the production of a 500 lbs add-on weight block for a hoist testing assembly- Updated hundreds of plant preventative maintenance documents using SAP, and enterprise resource planning software.
