I act as the Sport Taekwondo team leader and an assistant coach for my home Taekwondo gym in the Portland Metro area. As an athlete myself, I take on a mentorship role for the youth athletes on the team, by setting a strong example by my actions on and off the mat. I was also able to aid my coach in the professionalization of his competition team, Apex Taekwondo, and set up various fundraising opportunities for athletes to have the opportunity to travel and compete at various tournaments.
