Participated on various advanced surface engineering projects which mainly revolved around laser peening and laser remelting of various materials. Analyzed the mechanical effects of material treatment through micro- and nano-indentation. Quantified residual stresses in materials with the use of X-ray diffraction (XRD), and studied microstructural changes in materials through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Presented results to faculty advisor on a weekly basis and prepared technical reports for company use.

Member of the communications team for WISLA IBCS (Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System). The program contract is with the country of Poland and it aims to recreate and deliver the Army's IBCS system in accordance with exportation restrictions. Assisted in network management tasks for the Engagement Operations Centers (EOC) within a lab environment. Responsibilities included configuring network management (NM) laptops with NM software and establishing communications between the NM laptop and all other EOC network devices. Create high-level drawings of the network architecture within the lab environment and developed written test procedures for quality assurance. Other tasks included making configurations of network switches and routers through Cisco command line, and creating ethernet cables to establish physical connections between network devices.
