Member of the Corporate Accounting Department directly responsible for overseeing various aspects of financial reporting.- Accurately prepare and process period end journal entries, reports, and account reconciliations.- Monitor assigned corporate departments' financials, including approving vouchers and expense reports, assisting with budgeting and quarterly forecasting, and researching/resolving any accounting issues.- Work closely with other areas in the company including department heads for both Corporate and each Division.- Balance Qualifying Sales, as well as process reclamation and vendor rebate checks as necessary.- Assist the department manager by providing support, assistance, and training.

Member of the accounts receivable/vendor relations department directly responsible for overseeing all financial accounting functions and special projects in order to fulfill the objectives of the company.- Accurately prepare and process period close journal entries and account reconciliations.- Monitor, analyze, and report on the collection activity for all military related receivables.- Work with vendors and internal staff to identify and resolve military related billing/payment issues.- Oversee the timely and accurate application of daily bank deposits.- Assist with the preparation and analysis relevant to the year-end audit.- Provide support to vendor relations department and validate repay requests in a timely manner. - Assist the department supervisor in providing support, assistance and training.

Provide assurance to the organization that proper controls are maintained to fulfill the objectives of the company and to safeguard the company's assets. Perform required operational audits of accounting and internal control systems to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.- Perform semi-annual warehouse inventory audits.- Assist external auditors with year-end financial audit.- Review the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information.- Assist departments within the company with analysis, counsel, and recommendations concerning areas audited.- Prepare timely reports to inform management of audit findings throughout the year.

Member of promotional controls department (Corporate Accounting) directly responsible for the accurate accounting of all promotional monies due a specific division or area, including the billing of vendors, reconciling and processing of all AMAP promotions to insure proper allowances are received, and resolving all clerical issues that may arise.• Prepare billings to vendors for all AMAP (AWG Merchandising, Advertising, and Promotional Program) promotions on a timely basis.• Review each AMAP promotion for accuracy and diverting activity to make sure all information is consistent with dates and terms. • Research and reconcile each AMAP deal for gain or loss on the promotion, while maintaining a complete file by vendor for all promotions within a designated division.• Responsible for balancing the AMAP activity each week and period as it relates to the AMAP report. • Assist fellow employees, vendors, brokers, and/or manufacturers through correspondence faxes, and telephone requests to resolve and misunderstandings concerning deductions or billings relates to the AMAP promotions.• Complete and special duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Director.
