As an aspiring sales representative following graduation, working at The Buckle, Inc. prepared me for a future career in the field. Working as a scholarship chairmen for incoming freshman at Iowa has been one of the most humbling and beneficial experiences I've had as a college student. By evaluating applications and interviews of high qualifying incoming freshman, this opportunity helped me realize the amount of knowledge on campus, and the difference between a good or bad interview. The depth of this position helped me gain insight on how to communicate with higher management, work on my professional speaking, and organize / lead a large event.Iowa AlphaNile C. I applied for the freshman coaching job the winter after graduation at Linn-Mar High School. Although I loved the sport and played my entire life, I never saw myself coaching until this opportunity came about. Coaching a team of young men helped me realize my passion to lead, and encourage core values of my organization.- Managed a team of 15 high schoolers through a 26 game season without help from assistant coaches- Constructed practice plans, lineups, and in-game decisions to teach the game while striving for success- Communicated with players, parents, and administrators to work through obstacles in scheduling and attendance

I applied at Happy Joe's as a sophomore in high school. Growing up, my family had eaten their pizza and enjoyed the fun atmosphere of games and dinner. This was a perfect job to provoke my interest in working and making money, while enjoying what I was doing. Serving at a restaurant taught me the importance of fast-pace work, while forming skills in customer service.- Worked shifts with a crew of 3 to 5 employees to take orders, food run, and bus tables- Handled high stress lunch and dinner rushes while also helping with delivery and carry-out orders
