I seek to capture human interaction behind a lens, whether it is documenting hard news, sharing a moment of revelation during a portrait, or framing the second so it sings to the world. Conversely, I want to elicit an emotive response from the viewer, be it from a portrait, a calamity or Mother Nature at her finest. Most importantly, I want to tell stories – wherever that may take me.My subjects vary from hardline politics to fashion, natural disasters to editorial and commercial portraiture. Whether I'm shooting in the Press Gallery of Parliament House, shooting beach scenes in Sydney, or documenting travel stories across the globe, my aim remains the same – to create pictures that tell stories that people can relate to, be affected by and be inspired by.I freelance and shoot documentary, advertising, fashion, fine art and portraiture. I’ve worked across all facets of magazine publishing from advertising sales to design and creative direction. I work with art directors, news desks, film makers, business owners and designers of all domains to create ideal images that deliver a message.Much of my political and hard news imagery is represented by Getty Images and I have shot both documentary and portraiture of some the most influential people in the world – from Ban Ki-Moon and Queen Elizabeth II, to the Wiggles and Prime Minister Julia Gillard. My work has been published in national and international arenas, including: Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Irish Times, Women's Day and Rolling Stone Magazine.On a commercial front, I advise and create imagery for the Australian National University and have shot advertising campaigns for national brands including Super 15 Rugby team, The Brumbies, St. Vincent de Paul and Care Australia.
