I worked as a personal tutor for a quadriplegic student at SDSMT. Duties included: tutoring assistance for difficult concepts, assisting with note-taking, proctoring tests, and writing out assignments. Classes included mostly mechanical engineering and math curriculum: Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Solid Mechanics (1 and 2), Calculus 3, and Differential Equations.

Duties included: SolidWorks design of a human head and brain model; literature research on helmets, human brain and skull mechanical properties; assistance in projectile research and bacteria distribution studies, preparation of ballistics gel, and construction of small and large devices based on SolidWorks files and drawings. Gained experience with: working in sterile lab conditions, making agar and broth as bacteria growth media, bacteria spread plating, working with autoclaves, creating presentations based on research and presenting to groups, and extensive experience with a drill press.
