I'm a journalist, organizer, facilitator and all-around dot connector dedicated to making journalism more participatory, responsive and actionable. I'm currently focused on growing programs and partnerships that equip more people with the tools of journalism and design to fuel resilient and participatory local news ecosystems. I spent more than a decade working with nonprofit investigative journalism organizations to develop high-impact community engagement strategies and orchestrate large-scale collaborative reporting projects with organizations across the country. As a media consultant and facilitator, I've led strategic planning, trainings and events for a variety of media organizations and academic institutions, including Cityside, the American Press Institute, Poynter, USA TODAY Network, Free Press, the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, and the Investigative Reporting Workshop at American University.
