Material Logistics Specialist
Current- Coordinate and assist a full team of clerks in order to work together to handle and inspect $25 million worth of aviation parts according to the standard operating procedures to ensure proper documentation is provided and parts are in serviceable condition.- Utilize Maintenix software to ship, receive, issue parts, and loan tools, documenting the movement of all tracked items for proper part and tool control.- Coordinate with all departments (Procurement, CRA’s, Maintenance, QC Inspection, Management, AOG for Logistics/Dispatch) to communicate preparation for and to solve any issues or needs to repair aircraft in a timely manner, allowing for on-time departure from gate.- Cycle count parts to verify inventory to avoid the need for nightly couriers worth over $1,000.- Properly ship and receive hazardous material according to each part’s SDS, the IATA and CFR 49, to ensure compliance with all government regulations and the safety of the individuals transporting them.- Operate various forklifts to safely transport over $750,000 worth of materials onto delivery trucks or into storage until aircraft repair need.
