About John Dayton Coleman

I am honored to be a First Officer at PSA Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines, advancing my aviation career. This opportunity allows me to further pursue my passion for flying while contributing to the exceptional service that PSA Airlines is known for. Prior to this role, I gained valuable experience as an independent contractor and a certified flight instructor (CFI), accumulating over 1,000 flight hours, including more than 100 hours in turbine aircraft. I also served as the second in command on CE-500 series jets based at Tri-Cities Airport (KRTI). In addition to my flight experience, I provided comprehensive ground and flight instruction to aspiring pilots, leveraging my A&P mechanic certification to offer in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems and preflight procedures.I completed both my bachelor's degree in aerospace from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and my A&P certificate from Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) in just over four years, thanks to my dual enrollment courses during high school. My dual certification as a pilot and mechanic was inspired by my hands-on experience assisting with annual inspections on a Cessna 150, where I recognized the importance of technical knowledge in ensuring flight safety and efficiency.I am highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning. I believe that my diverse skill set, strong work ethic, and passion for aviation will serve me well in my role with PSA Airlines. I'm excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to the skies as I embark on this new chapter as a commercial airline pilot.This version emphasizes your new role while still highlighting your background and qualifications.
