As product engineer I was responsible for engineering certification, sub-system integration, local market options and application approval of Mercedes-Benz heavy commercial and military vehicles.• Lead project engineer on the team which supplied a compliant bid for Australian Defence Force’s multi-billion dollar Land 121 contract - Mercedes-Benz was subsequently shortlisted as the preferred supplier for the lightweight vehicle fleet.• Facilitated the entry into new market segments by building strong customer relationships and providing authoritative and responsive engineering services.• Developed improved processes to for local market options - projects included: exhaust systems, fuel tanks, driver airbags, power take-offs, automatic transmission and dual steering system.
